EDIT: I added a little something on my method of blending, which I think is the one thing I missed when doing these steps. DX I USE THE EYE-DROPPER/COLOR-PICKER TOOL A LOT!! I think I said it in here, but I rarely ever pick directing from the color swatches Photoshop provides you with. Maybe as a starter, but I always go to the color-picker and pick a more fitting color. Even then, I use the eye-dropper a lot to pick up the in-between colors and hand-blend. I rarely ever use blur or smudge as blending techniques, as I prefer the effect you get from doing it this way. Hopefully this helps clarify things and understanding!! D= So sorry this isn'y any more helpful DX <3
Finally getting around to two things! Working on something for my portfolio AND making a tutorial! Of sorts... This is in response to my recent poll, asking what sort of tutorial my lovely viewers would like me to make for them. A lot of people voted painting/coloring, and some others also chose portraits and hair. SO... I combined those I guess. XD
All done on Photoshop CS3 with a Wacom Graphire tablet (oldschool, mang, and tiny). I missed a couple steps and I'm sorry DX I tried to cover those with explanation.
Finished product is here: [link]
EDIT: This was published in the UK's Digital Artist magazine. To see this in print and read an interview with yours truly, check it out~ [link] -is done with shameless promotions promise- X3
